For 1980 the Corvette was 250 pounds lighter than the 1979 and more streamlined.
The hood and doors were made thinner saving weight. The tops decreased in
density due to the use of microscopic beads in their construction. The rear
differential housing and supports were manufactured from aluminum which also
decreased weight. This car is powered by a 350 cubic inch V8 which has been
upgraded with a Holley carburetor, Hooker headers and an aluminum radiator mated
to an automatic transmission. Options include power windows, power steering,
power brakes, air conditioning, T-tops and a rear T-top storage rack. The silver
paint and oyster leather interior appear to be original and have held up very
well over the past 30 years. The odometer is reading 95,794.
