1940 Buick Series 80 Formal Sedan
VIN: 13647138
320 cid/144 HP “Valve-in-Head” in-line 8-cylinder engine, 3-speed manual transmission. Finished in original black, interior is fitted in a period correct brown cord cloth with simulated woodgrain garnish and trim. Appointments include enclosed dual side-mount spare tires, GM fog lights, dash mounted Sonomatic radio, clock fitted in the glove box door, original heater, back up lights and a locking fueling door. This is a very original, well preserved car currently showing just under 62,600 miles from new, verified in part by lubrication stickers indicating mileages from the 1970's. The paint is in very good condition with no signs of rub-through, we did notice some minor pitting on come chrome trim which could possibly be polished out, under the hood and chassis could benefit from a cleaning and light detailing. Interior does show some minimal wear and the steering wheel rim has been wrapped to help in its preservation. It is a large and spacious vehicle with reverse hinged rear doors for a limousine-like ride as well as entrance and exiting. This model is considered a Full Classic by the Classic Car Club of America, and would qualify for survivor type judging due to its original state and condition
