This beautiful example sold new at Rector Cadillac 1010 Cadillac Way, Burlingame, CA. in 1968 This is a special order car by a woman from Palo Alto, CA. It is the only known 1968 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado with special bright red exterior with white leather seats with red piping. Date badge reads 000 for special order interior and 00 for the exterior color. The Eldorado was radically redesigned in 1967. Intended for the burgeoning personal luxury car market, it was a "personal" Cadillac sharing the E-body with the second-generation Buick Riviera and the Oldsmobile Toronado, which had been introduced the previous year. Cadillac adopted the Toronado's Unified Powerplant Package and front-wheel drive. The Eldorado used a Cadillac 472 V-8 with a modified Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission.
