1986 MG METRO 6R4 UNIPART LIVERY WORKS CAR

1986 MG Metro 6R4 Unipart Livery Works Car
ID# SAXXRWNP7AD570210
Extremely rare Left-Hand-Drive example! The current owner purchased the car from Bill Gwynne Engineering Limited in England on July of 1990. The car was then shipped to Arvada, Colorado where it was stored with many other race cars and was race prepared for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. C98 KOG is a real gem. It was raced by Malcolm Wilson in the 1986 Corsican rally but unfortunately had to retire early after transmission failure. It reappeared driven by Harri Toivaren in the 1000 Lakes placing 7th overall behind fierce opposition. The car’s final competition was the 1986 RAC Rally, where it obtained excellent times until retiring in Stage 9 with engine failure. This is the only factory built Left-Hand drive 6R4. It has been completely rebuilt from its bare shell by the original team mechanics, and is still to exact RAC specification. There can be few more exciting cars to drive in the world.
