1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith
Mulliner Touring Limousine
Chassis # LELW83 – Engine # L82E
Body # 5826 – Design # 7356
1 of 33 Long-Wheel-Base Left-Hand-Drive Design 7356 Mulliner Touring Limousines built. Purchased new by Heise Bouden Tube Company of Newton, Connecticut and was delivered in February 1956. The Silver Wraith was first made available in late 1946 as a running chassis which allowed for the buyer to select from a range of coach builders and to then choose the style of body they desired. This particular car was built on a long wheelbase chassis which became available in the mid 1950's and it was fitted with the larger 4.9 litre engine which became standard at this time. The chosen coach builder was one of the most highly regarded companies, H.J. Mulliner Ltd., and the chosen style was a Touring Limousine to Mulliner's design number 7356. This design is generally considered the most elegant and stylish ever put on the Wraith Chassis and, as a result, cars with this body are the most sought after in the marketplace.
