1964 CHRYSLER NEW YORKER STATION WAGON   PRICE: INQUIRE

1964 Chrysler New Yorker Station Wagon
Chassis Number: 8743169577
One of the last Chryslers designed by the great Virgil Exner, the New Yorker offered coachbuilt-looks and seemingly endless options. In rare station wagon form it was virtually a road-going luxury suite, with plenty of room and quality materials inside. The wagons were not built in large numbers; 1170 to be exact. A massive vehicle that already stands out in today’s traffic, its Viper Red paint makes it visible for a country mile. The new interior is a model of that period’s upscale Chryslers, with White front bucket seats flanking the console against red carpeting, providing lots of comfort for the road. The popular (and relatively new in ’64) 413ci Wedge engine and push-button operated Torqueflite transmission keep this big New Yorker cruising easily at highway speeds and help it approach full use of the 120mph speedometer. Big and Red and splashy with its Exner styling and wide, wide whitewalls,
this is a great classic station wagon.
