Made popular as the famous duo's undercover car in the television series, Starsky & Hutch, this tomato red and white striped Torino developed its own fan base, prompting Ford Motor Company to produce a limited number of them in 1976. The success of the original series which aired 88 episodes from 1975-1979, along with continued interest among the legions of fans, led Warner Bros. to produce the silver screen release, starring Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson and, of course, the familiar 1974 Torino.
