Continental kit, spot light mirrors, fender skirts, hood and front fender ornaments are dealer installed when auto was delivered. Cost new as delivered $ 3,346.00. Options include power steering, power brakes, radio, clock and heater.
Original owner Arthur W. Loerke, of Denver Colorado, Mr. Loerke was one of the engineers that built the air plane “The Spruce Goose” for Howard Hughes. Mr. Loerke also developed and patented the fiberglass fly fishing rod.
This vehicle was purchased from Bob Jones Ford in Denver Colorado on March 30, 1959. It was sold to Bill Hinck of Colorado Springs in September of 1988 (79,044 miles at that time). Present owner purchased the car in April of 2000 (82,774 miles at that time).
Auto was repainted original colors in mid 80’s by first owner, by the selling dealer. Plastic seat covers and all interior are original. Chrome and Stainless trim, hubcaps, etc are all original, even the radio and clock work perfectly.
Vehicle was converted to disk brakes with radial wide white tires in 2005 for safety reasons in today’s traffic.
Original brakes, air cleaner and valve covers are available.
