Delivered in time for the 1978 Le Mans 24-Hour race to Dick Barbour team, this 935 was driven there by Dick Barbour, Brian Redman and John Paul to place fifth overall and win the IMSA Class; something the team made a habit of in those days. The following race at Watkins Glen the car finished second. In 1979 the 935 carried on racing with the Dick Barbour team. Shortly thereafter, it was sold to John Paul who then sold the car to Preston Henn who later sold it back to John Paul.
